The Singapore GP Formula 1 race should be an event worth seeing because it is a night race and it is one a street track. This is a big event for Singapore and so as the excitement builds around the race, there are activities that are designed to give fans of all ages a taste of the race and to get them even more excited for the event. Building the excitement is only one aspect of the Rev Up activities, though. There are educational events to do for children and adults.

This year the Singapore GP will have the band Mayday play for the Friday night festivities. It should be a great way to kick off the weekend and the announcement is already creating a buzz among Mayday fans and race goers alike.

On Thursday night fans can walk through the pit and see the team garages. This can give the fans an up close look at the tools, toys and gear that is needed to keep the Formula 1 racers in tip top shape. According to www.usedcarnews.com, Abernathy Motor Co. has been fined by the FTC for failing to display a “Buyers Guide” on the used cars they have for sale. This is in direct violation of the Used Car Rule, which states that before offering a used vehicle for sale, you must post a Buyers Guide on the vehicle.

The Buyers Guide is a disclosure document that provides consumers the following information regarding the purchase and warranty of a used vehicle:

–         Vehicle, make, model, model year, and vehicle identification number (VIN).

–         Whether the vehicle is being sold with a warranty or “as is”

–         The total percentage of repair costs a dealer will pay under warranty

–         Major problems that the consumer needs to be aware of

–         Major mechanical and electrical systems of the car

In addition, you will find the following verbiage on a Buyers Guide:

–         That oral promises need to be put in writing (as they are difficult to enforce)

–         That the Buyers Guide should be kept after purchase for future reference

–         That the car should be inspected by an independent mechanic before purchase

Apparently, the FTC had warned 11 used car dealerships in Jonesboro, Arkansas about failing to comply with the Used Car Rule by neglecting to post Buyers Guides on thee used vehicles they had for sale. All but Abernathy Motor Co. agreed to comply. Violations could cost them up to $16,000 each.

As a consumer that is shopping for a used vehicle, you need to have as much information as possible regarding its past.   A Buyers Guide is helpful, but it won’t give you all the details you need to know in order to make a smart buying decision.

So, what can you do to make sure a used vehicle is actually worth the asking price?

From time to time, I like to completely change the way I look like. I am sure that you wouldn’t really blame me for that. Everybody has a right to feel completely different about themselves once in a while and I felt like I deserved some changes in my life. The reason? A few years back I ran into debt problems. When my car at the time decide to break down again, I couldn’t afford the cost to fix it. So I had it scraped.

I rode my bike for the next year. This allowed me to get in great shape and save money.
